Treatment

In my practice, I seek to create a safe, open, and inclusive therapeutic environment where my clients can share freely. I genuinely enjoy hearing their stories. Through our frank conversations, I aim to learn about my client’s past, who they are as human beings, their values, life desires, and the current struggles that get in the way of daily life. It’s through respecting their life experience that we build a solid, therapeutic relationship. There’s no judgment in my office, only straight-forward and honest conversation, peppered with a little humor because we have to laugh at life every once in a while.

I consider myself an eclectic practitioner tailoring my approach to the individual needs of the client. I incorporate varying modalities into my practice, but I primarily utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I work to address present emotions and challenges, and support a cultivation of self-compassion resulting in a healthy relationship with the range of experienced emotions. I also seek to undo those foundational memories that have culminated in current negative self-concept that disrupt our experience of joy. My approach is all about genuinely appreciating all that we are, so that we can find joy in our experience of life.
